Walter is a dedicated Senior Architectural Technician. Currently, he is the Documentation and Coordination Manager at Y2 Architecture, a boutique design practice specialising in architecture, interior and urban design across Victoria. When it comes to navigating design dreams, Walter uses his calm and considered approach to help his clients transition from feeling overwhelmed to overjoyed.

Supported by industry experience as a Project Administrator, Team Leader and Documenter, Walter’s proven skills in management, leadership and process documentation are invaluable. His qualifications, including an Associate Diploma of Architectural Technology (RMIT), and a Diploma of Applied Science (RMIT), further leverage him to support Y2 Architecture clients in his current role.

Walter considers ‘communication’ to be the blueprint for client success. His favourite engagements have been those that have enabled him to work alongside of different contractors towards a common goal –achieving client satisfaction. Within the Education sector, project highlights include new school builds at Mount Ridley College and Marist College and extensions/refurbishments at Assumption College, Kilmore. Walter managed the documentation and had administrative input during several stages, ensuring the project ran smoothly from conception through to completion.

A natural perfectionist, Walter’s clients benefit from his commitment to achieving the best outcome by using his meticulous eye for detail. His clients and colleagues appreciate him for his honest approach, always putting the needs of others before himself. Walter believes that there is nothing more motivating than the satisfaction of a client who is not only happy with the outcome but with the process as well. “This is where being approachable and caring about my clients pays off”.

When I am not helping others achieve their design dreams, I am probably keeping healthy and active by cycling, or fishing with my children. My real guilty pleasure is dabbling in some cooking and sharing his masterpieces with family and friends.
