The Mildura Region Trade Training Centre is a consortium of 12 schools including Government, Catholic and Independent education providers committed to improved outcomes for students. The model includes major and minor upgrades and buildings on existing school facilities and the purchase of specialist equipment and tools. With a total project budget of $11.7 million major projects are restricted to the Deakin TTC at Mildura Secondary College, Riverside TTC at St Joseph'™s College and Coomealla Hospitality Kitchen.

The Deakin TTC is a standalone new facility purpose built for Automotive, Building & Construction, Engineering, Avionics, Furniture & Cabinetry and Hospitality. Referred to as a decorated shed, the flexible structural design allows for future modifications dependant on the demands of students needs and a changing curriculum. Facility planning promotes cross pollination of curriculum, efficiency of space and equipment and visibility to entice future users.

The Riverside TTC abuts an existing Stadium facility that services the St Joseph'™s and greater communities for sports and performing arts events. A purpose built Hospitality Kitchen is linked to the existing Restaurant providing opportunities for student participation in both Kitchen & Front of House Operations. Facility planning allows for cross pollination with the Hair & Beauty TTC and the St Joseph'™s College Home Economics Kitchen. Given Mildura's temperate climate, external covered kitchen facilities are provided to promote alternative cooking styles.
