The new Hospitality Trade Training Centre at Assumption College will be a purpose built facility located at the western end of the College Green. Drawing from the architectural language of both the Montagne and Arts & Technology centres, the TTC will create a dynamic food and beverage hub that engages with both the social and sporting hearts of the school.

The new building replaces a 1970'™s tennis pavilion, the bricks from which will used to pave some of the external terraces as a memory of a closed chapter in the College'™s history.

A simple palette of materials compressed sheet, concrete block and metal cladding“ is enlivened by a series of truncated pyramids which give a strong architectural form to the building and are echoed in the internal spaces. These give each of the main spaces a dramatic sense of volume and also act as thermal chimneys and skylights.

Internal planning is simple and zoned into public (TTC), shared and private (Food Technology) precincts with the main frontage opening out onto a series of terraces addressing both Carroll Oval and the College Common. Services and deliveries are shared where possible with the existing canteen located in the Arts & Technology Building.
